Product Review
Baltar Diet Coke of Evil

WARNING! General Foods' Sugar Free, Caffeine Free "Suisse Mocha" International Coffee is sucktacular! It doesn't taste like coffee OR chocolate! While it's not horrible, like Pork Brains in Milk Gravy, it certainly does underwhelm the tastebuds.

I should have known better, I know. Usually I can handle sugar free stuff. Right now I am enjoying sugar free hot chocolate. Nummy! But when a product goes to the next level, that is, sugar free AND fat free, for example, well, it's goodbye, flavor.

Don't let this happen to you!

I think the only thing worse than sugar free food products are fat free. Granted, some potato chip companies have achieved this through the magic of Olestra but for those of you with irritable bowels, you may want to steer clear. However, I tried some fat free cheese and it was absolutely repulsive. I am sure it was similar to your sugar free experience. Meanwhile, I am off to have a Lean Pocket: 7 grams of fat!
I like it - I use it to make frappuchinos. (I confess I use a little more than the directions suggest.) I've been on sugar free stuff for so long that sugared tastes NASTY to me now. I never bothered with olestra, and Splenda gives me the same problems olestra supposedly does. There are ways around the sugar and fat - I've had to find them through trial and error over the years.
