WTF am I doing wrong?!?

I just read that according to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 1998 the average worker with a bachelor's degree earned $40,478.

The average worker also has his TV on for 7 hours and 40 minutes a day, loves NASCAR, and thinks Bush is a great president.
I am apprently also wrong.

Hrumph, I say.
My point, really, is that being 'average' can be very lame sometimes. Average people don't have hobbies, interests or studies. Average people watch 'Temptation Island'. Average people think Yanni and John Tesh are musicians.
Yanni and John Tesh at least incorporate classical music harmonies into their works, which is more than I can say for one of my former music professors, whose idea of "music" was recording traffic noises and banging garbage cans.

Plus, neither one is quite as despicable.

Yes, but why do average people apparently earn much more money than I do? TANJ!
Because they need it to go to bars and drink for entertainment, run up their credit card bills on things they don't need, and to eat out every night.
(the $43k/yr nearly-uneducated duckling slinks away quietly...)
Ack! Don't go away! I'm not an elistist college snob - I'm just depressed that I don't make very much money, that's all.
