Save "Singing Potatoes"!

Jeff has taken down his blog! I urge all of you who know him to tell him to come back to the blogging fold. Come on, we all need a little window into your fine mind!

Please don't.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I just don't want to blog anymore.

The only people who read my blog are the people I already see on a regular basis, one guy I've never met, and a couple of people who wouldn't give me the time of day because I once had a falling-out with a friend of theirs (but they still read my blog, for some reason).

And there's Darren, but I hope he'll eventually fall into the first group.

There's a whole long list of reasons why I decided to stop, but they can all be covered by the simple fact that my heart's no longer in it.

I tried to quit once before, but the lure of spouting inconsequentialities to a largely nonexistent audience called me back for a while. Perhaps I will change my mind again, some day down the road. Perhaps I will not. I can't say.

Thanks for the thought, and thanks to Lisa for emailing me, but I can't put it back up. Not right now.

I'll miss Jeff's blog, but I can understand if he prefers not to blog. You do something because it's fun, and if it's no longer fun, you do something else.

I just want you to know Jeff that I really enjoyed visiting, and I learned quite a bit (that political quote not to long ago from that interview with Hermann Goerring really intrigued me and led me to do some digging - I mentioned it to a friend (giving you full credit, of course) and she introduced it to her high school class in Indiana in a discussion about social studies). It made people stop and think, particularly in this climate of "Your-with-us-or-you're-not-patriotic".

And if you ever decide you have more to say, I'll be happy to check it out.

Thanks.
Ditto on what Darren said. I didn't check with you because I figured it was technical. I think more people read it than post, as with any blog. I mean shit, you're one of the people who convinced me to start a damn blog. But like big D said, you've got to do what you enjoy.
