frowny face deluxe!
elizabeth old and bitchy

A pharmacy benefit that caps out at $35 a month isn't much help when my meds cost about $120 a month.

Why exactly are we paying $200-some a month for this insurance plan again? It sure can't be for the revolving-door service I got at my new doctor's office last month. Really, I should take one rx to the pharamacy that takes the insurance, and the other to Mal-Wart. Much as I hate them, they are the cheapest la pharmacia in town.

Humana, I have found, has a plan that is month to month (as in there's no contract) for 80 bucks a month. I mean, for just me. So far it's working out.
ask you doc's office if they can give you samples of meds...? You also might see if going mail orfer for meds is cheaper - I do it, and some of my stuff is temperature sensitive.
Socialized medicine people! I've been saying it for years, but nobody listens.... :op
Claire - I have a pre-existing condition, and that makes getting insurance very tricky. Usually I've only been able to get it with employment.
Mary - I'll have to look into that. It's just such a pain.
Blindleadsblind - oh, sorry, we have to export democracy, so no money for that sort of thing for the folks back home.
